Warawut: 'Chartthaipattana is not waiting for someone to take us over' (Post Today photo)The Chartthaipattana party is not up for sale nor open to a takeover bid by former premier Thaksin Shinawatra, said the party's core figure Warawut Silpa-archa. Mr Warawut insisted the party was his father's soul and a takeover would be unthinkable. We're not waiting for someone to take us over nor are we a reserve party for anyone," Mr Warawut said. Mr Warawut said he met senior party members who assured him they never spoke about such matters with Thaksin. Shortly after Banharn's death, party chief adviser Somsak Prisanananthakul said Mr Warawut, former deputy transport minister, was introduced as a prospective party leader over the Songkran festival.
